About Adam
As a tenured product designer with a background spanning fintech, consumer platforms, design systems, and B2B tools, I’m passionate about making complex systems beautifully simple for real people. My work has impacted millions—from reinventing financial wellness apps for My Secure Advantage, to modernizing the in-store and digital touchpoints at Madison Reed, to leading the transformation of the ButterflyMX access platform for residents, guests, and property owners.
A relentless curiosity fuels everything I do. In addition to my professional design work, I have taught undergraduate philosophy at San Francisco State University and I’ve built and scaled businesses like Calico Publishing and Calico Apps from the ground up, learning firsthand how strategic pivots, branding, and effective marketing drive growth
My inspirations and interests
Outside of my day job, I enjoy growing my publishing business (under pen name "Wes Tillman"), learning, philosophy, traveling (I've been to over 50 countries). I am a big Sacramento Kings fan, tragically.
What I'm looking for
I've been doing product design work long enough now that I tend to be a little more selective in the projects I take on. I think the two most critical issues of the coming century are climate and AI. I'd like to work on projects that are at least tangentially related to either of these domains. However, I will listen to other opportunities if you think we might be a good fit.
My dream is to contribute to projects that not only look good but also do good, both for people and the planet. I'm very interested at this moment about how AI can further personalize user experiences without losing the human touch.
